Bedouin Star strives to empower women and girls through the life changing experiences of dance.

THE STUDIO
The new Bedouin Star studio, located at 800A Fort Crook Road South in Bellevue, NE, is a spacious 1800 square feet with approximately 600 square feet of dance floor complete with mirrors. Studio space also offers cubbies to store purses, bags, etc., during class, and coat hangers. Bedouin Star holds a BMI License, granting us permission to teach with and perform to a vast variety of music.

The studio can be rented for non-alcoholic events. Studio is available for dance practice, art shows, meetings, sewing circles, support groups, book clubs, etc. Rental is reasonable and includes approximately 1000 square feet of rentable space, well kept restroom, dance floor, mirrors, and sound system. THE BOUTIQUE
Coin belts, zills, fan veils, t-shirts, mugs, bumper stickers, and costuming can be purchased from the Boutique located inside the studio. Costumes can also be commissioned, professionally assembled by our in house seamstress, Bethany Padron. Please drop in to check out what items are available.

BEDOUIN STAR BEGINNINGS
Isis, (right) the owner and primary instructor, has studied Belly Dance since 1999 with Della Gushen and performed professionally with Della's troupe, the Lotus Dancers. Isis' resume is available for viewing here.

Bedouin Star was founded by Isis in September 2005. After already teaching for two years, she finally named the dance comapny, which then, consisted of three teenagers and herself. As time progressed, others joined and eventually more regularly scheduled classes were offered. Isis' Belly Dance class was included in Bellevue University's after work fitness program in 2005 and was the only class to continue after the program ended. Classes were also taught at Second Unitarian Church in Omaha.

As an instructor, Isis tries to convey information to her students that will allow them to become highly skilled dancers, but more importantly, to become respectable dancers.

With the new studio, Bedouin Star classes can now expand to offer a varety of dance styles and even Martial Arts. The class schedule will soon include day and evening classes as well as special events.

THE BEDOUIN STAR TROUPE
The Bedouin Star Troupe (right, current members) consists of students who have proven their dedication to the dance by going above and beyond: practicing regularly between classes, working to improve technique, attending class consistently, etc. We have to know you are serious before we invite you into the troupe. However, we're not expecting perfection. Previous dance experience is a plus but it is, by no means, a requirement. We take pride in being a very "low drama" group.

BEDOUIN STAR FOR HIRE
Bedouin Star is available to perform at most any event: receptions, bridal showers, conventions (Star Wars, Anime, Sci-Fi, etc), in schools, for fitness awareness programs, ethnic festivals, retirement villages, and more. We prefer to perform at non-alcoholic events. We do not perform at all male events. Contact Isis or call (402) 917-4808 for more information.
